A good recipe for biscuits taste of autumn that I found in my new cookbook Local Cuisine four seasons Anne Samson I highly recommend this book it is with great recipes using local produce.
They are very sweet, slightly spicy
which results in a good nourishing meal
Oatmeal , apples and cranberries 250 ml 1 cup softened butter 1 cup 250 ml
maple sugar or brown sugar
2 large eggs 1 tablespoon
teaspoon vanilla
1 1 / 2 cup 375 ml all-purpose flour
teaspoon vanilla
1 1 / 2 cup 375 ml all-purpose flour
1 tsp teaspoon baking soda (sodium bicarbonate)
1 tsp teaspoon cinnamon
1 / 2 c. teaspoon salt
3 cups 750 ml quick-cooking oats or traditional (me quick cooking)
2 apples, peeled and grated (I mean size)
¾ cup 175 ml nuggets Chocolate
NOTE: (I replaced the chocolate with ½ cup of 125 ml
walnuts and ½ cup dried cranberries 125 mL
Steps Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 C)
Cream maple sugar or brown sugar with butter.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Add flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
Mix
Add apples, oatmeal and chocolate chips and stir with a spoon. (Or nuts and cranberries)
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
NOTE: (I replaced the chocolate with ½ cup of 125 ml
walnuts and ½ cup dried cranberries 125 mL
Steps Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 C)

Add eggs and vanilla.
Add flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
Mix
Add apples, oatmeal and chocolate chips and stir with a spoon. (Or nuts and cranberries)
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
and drop dough by large spoonfuls
Bake about 10 minutes (me 15 minutes) or until tops of cookies are lightly browned
